Product Summary

Gyrproc Thermaline super is a thermal laminate plasterboard consisting of phenolic foam (the same stuff as is used in Kingspan K118 we are told) stuck to to 9.5mm plasterboard . It is has a highest level of performance of the boards in the Gyproc Thermaline range.

Comparing the Gyproc Thermaline Basic, Plus and Super board on a like for like basis we see that the thermal resistance of the 40mm Basic is 0.8m ²K/W, versus 1.05 for the Thermaline Plus 40mm and 1.49 ²K/W for the Thermaline Super 40mm.

Other Info

It has good fire performance, with Class 0 rating to both faces. Also has low toxicity and smoke obscuration of less than 5%. Includes a vapour control layer as standard to reduce risk of condensation.

  • Faced with ivory coloured Gyproc WallBoard
  • Backed with brown coloured phenolic foam
  • Available in tapered edge only
  • Complies with EN 13950
  • Thermal Conductivity: WallBoard 0.19W/mK
  • Thermal Conductivity: Super phenolic foam 0.020W/mK to 0.022W/mK (dependent on thickness of foam)

Product Application

Installation Instructions

It is important to observe appropriate health and safety legislation when working on site, i.e. personal protective clothing and equipment, etc. The following notes are intended as general guidance only. In practice, consideration must be given to design criteria requiring specific project solutions

Thermaline Basic Fixing

This product can be screwed or glued.
If you are wishing to glue it to the wall it should be glued with dry wall adhesive. If you are choosing this route you should use at least two mechanical fixings to hold it in place.

Gyproc Thermaline Super Cutting

This product may be cut using a plasterboard saw. Holes for switch or socket boxes should be cut out before the boards are fixed using a utility saw or sharp knife. When cutting boards, power and hand tools should be used with care and in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations. Power tools should only be used by people who have been instructed and trained to use them
safely. Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used.

Gyproc Thermaline Super Fixing

Fix boards with decorative side out to receive joint treatment or a skim plaster finish. Lightly butt boards together. Never force boards into position. Install fixings not closer than 13mm from cut edges and 10mm from bound edges. Position cut edges to internal angles whenever possible, removing paper burrs with fine sandpaper. Stagger horizontal and vertical board joints between layers by a minimum of 600mm. Locate boards to the centre line of framing where this supports board edges or ends
